Unfortunately we live in a time where Islam is greatly misunderstood. It is misunderstood by the ones who don’t know and for the ones that do know, they continue to mislead the rest. I have come across many websites against Islam and the Prophet Muhammad sallalahu alayhi wasalam.
They have facts, hadiths and ayats of the Quran to back their ideas up. But the sad thing is that they take the hadith out of context, sometimes attributing a phrase to the Prophet sallalahu alayhi wasalam which he never said. Then they cite it with a same of some sort. One I came across was using hadiths from Ishaq. His source far from valid. You can tell the false sites with the underlying tone of unabated hatred. Painting the image of Nabi sallalahu alayhi wasalam as a person that pales in comparison to the truth. There are some amazing circumstances where people faced with such lies do go on and research for themselves and Alhamdulillah fall in love with this Deen. Allah guides whom He wills.
Islam is pure, Islam is the truth and Islam is logic. Anyone who has researched the Quran and Hadith and the Seera and not agreed with that statement they are truly misguided. I should have held back before I began a debate with a certain person who runs a website against the Quran but I thought it an injustice if I didn’t. I will leave the debates to the Shaykhs and future Ahmed Deedats because they attacked every aspect of my argument with lies. Lies lies lies. They did not use the Quran or the hadith and rejected every factual evidence I produced. Sometimes it is just simply a waste of time. This was the last time. And still that website is still out there misleading people who wouldn’t know any better, and that bothers me a lot!
Quran 2:146 The people of the Book know this as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know
I have talked to many and they know the truth, it is right in front of them but they disagree. I don't care if they disagree but they go on to make websites and videos!
May Allah guide us to the Truth,
Amin

I hate seeing so much baseless hatred. I think that in my own study I was first attracted to Muslims for their pious lives, and now I am trying to study the Quran by its own merit. I can't really judge it completely until I have finished reading it and seeing it for the whole that it is. You can't learn the truth about the Quran by seeing little ayahs that have been taken out of context. The Bible can also be very misleading when it is read out of context.
May Allah lead us all into his truth. Aamiin...
Whether or not Islam preaches peace or violence, the problem is that a lot of violence is at least committed in the name of Islam, and here in the West we don't hear many islamic voices condemning this violence, leading people to think Islam doesn't respect anything. Aren't you worried about the enormous amount of violence committed in the name of your religion? It is not a joke that converts to christianity are being prosecuted in Iran. And they are not troublemakers. Their only offense is conversion.
Christians used to do a lot of evil in the name of christianity. Which is why a lot of western countries adopted the separation of church and state. The result is no more wars and violence in the name of God. Don't you think separating islam from politics would be very helpful in reducting the brutalities?
Thanks for the comment.
I would like to know what violence you're talking about.
Iran claims it practices Sharia law but to be honest it doesn't. The Muslim countries that claim to practice sharia law today do not follow the guidelines prescribed.
The Iranian convertees is just an example.
They have already separated islam from politics by not following what the Quran says.
You cannot force someone to be Muslim. The Quran says:
Verse 2:256
"Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy handhold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things."
4:137 "Those who believe, then reject faith, then believe (again) and (again) reject faith, and go on increasing in unbelief,- Allah will not forgive them nor guide them nor guide them on the way."
Notice that the Quran says those who reject faith and then BELIEVE and again DISBELIEVE. if a Muslim rejects faith and is then killed for doing so how will he live to again BELIEVE and then DISBELIEVE. The atmosphere of this verse is that of free will and freedom of choice to everyone. If Allah wanted he would have said something about the punishment, if there was any, of those who reject Islam after accepting it. but Allah takes this to be clearly a private matter between them and Allah.
It is very worrying that the Muslim countries claim they practice Sharia when you can see what the Quran says itself.
They are the same countries that don't allow education for women and driving when Islam makes it a duty for both male and female to learn and excel.
You can see why the West is so confused, all this injustice in the name of Islam.
So I would actually instead of separate, establish a real Sharia based country with fairness from the Quran itself.
I think Europe was better off with the Catholic Church to be honest.
Peace.
Amin
